Quality Control

Quality control activities to choose from are delivered by qualified and certified experts with extensive experience. Quality assurance activities are performed in the course of production, installation and maintenance processes, or as part of project executions in different industrial and power generation facilities.

Main areas of operation:

  • Nuclear and conventional power generation
  • Pharmaceutical plants
  • Chemical, food-processing and other process industries
  • Steel structures

Quality control bears no responsibility for the quality of products; it merely verifies the conformity of products with the prescribed acceptance criteria. Each and every individual is held responsible for the quality of his/her own work!

Welding

There's hardly any product that is not associated with welding, at least up to a point. Primarily, welding is used for joining metals and a very broad spectrum of synthetic materials. Welding technology is a part of the so-called special processes, as properties of welded joints cannot be fittingly determined without destructive testing. Products made to be used do not lend themselves to such testing. It is therefore critical to assure all necessary prerequisites for quality work which is to be carried out in compliance with a proven technology.

And so considerable emphasis is placed on quality assurance. Typically, complex projects in power generation, infrastructure, gas pipelines, load-bearing structures, chemical and other demanding industries, dictate the investor to closely monitor welding, which enables them to gain an insight into all phases of the process. The latter is quite significant, as there are many phases that cannot be verified without a physical presence during the execution. As part of the welding supervision, pertaining technical documentation is reviewed at the beginning; WPS, welding plans and certificates. The inspection is carried out prior to, during and after the welding.

Generally, what really stands out in the end, is quality performance of examinations, especially non-destructive testing. By means of welding supervision, quality issues can be eliminated to a great extent, as well as potential problems during start-up and operations.

QC

In case of complex projects, continuous participation of an inspector is required to ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the requirements. A QC inspector is responsible for independent verification of physical characteristics and parameters of material, components or systems against required acceptance criteria for activities which cannot be verified during operation and have indirect impact on nuclear safety and reliability.
